About

“I’m one of those regular weird people.” ~ Janis Joplin

Nina is native to Washington State, growing up near the Olympic Mountains. Emerged in art and music her entire life, she continues to evolve, now combining her talents into modern expressions. Active in the Seattle scene in the early-mid 2000’s, she moved to New York where she licensed music with a small indie label, composed music for a film and frequently performed in clubs throughout New York and Brooklyn.

Returning to Seattle in 2012, she took a brief break before forming rock band Oceans Fade in 2017. Her progressive evolution as an artist explores everything from folk Americana, to ambient post rock to alternative and experimental electronica. Genre fluid is what defines her style.

FROM THE ARTIST

Music is my escape. Art is my meditation. Photography are the little moments I keep in my heart.

I enjoy challenging my own boundaries by exploring new sounds and styles, both as a solo artist and collaboratively with other creatives. My music style naturally lives within the realms of indie folk to alternative pop, but I also love getting gritty and rocking to some heavy sounds.

I have always been an artist, trained in oil, lover of acrylics now smitten with watercolor. I enjoy crafting, refurbishing and building with my hands.

I’ve been doing photography for the over 15 years, many of those professionally. Now exploring the art of videography, I’m working to create visual art as expressions of my music as the industry shifts into a new era.

I just released my first full length album, Three Days Two Nights.! It’s always been a life goal to produce my own full length, so I’m excited to finally check this off my bucket list. I fully wrote, composed and played all the instruments on the album. It was mixed and mastered by the legendary Jack Endino.

ADVENTURES AND EXPERIENCES

Solo Artist/Singer/Songwriter/Composer
(Always and Forever)
From small town coffee shops to NYC clubs to recording in my humble Seattle home studio, music has always been embedded in the roots of my soul. I’ve traveled the west coast to east coast and back. New York was an incredible city to rock! There I frequently performed in clubs like The Bitter End, Kenny’s Castaways, Pianos, Arlene’s Grocery and every little spot in between. Returning to Seattle, I’ve enjoyed performing at venues like The Sunset, Tractor Tavern, High Dive, Slims Last Chance and more.
